FIELDS/FERGUSON/GANOE
I am interested in finding information about my father, Robert Monroe FIELDS (I believe that was his full name), and his family. I never did meet my father, he left my mother (Betty GANOE FIELDS FERGUSON) when I was a small baby. He passed away somewhere in northern Virginia sometime around 1987. I believe he was in his early 50’s. I do know he was an electrician at Appalachian Power Co. in Glyn Lyn, Va. some years ago. He has a sibling, or siblings, in northern Virginia, Alexandria. They will not respond to my writings. I would just like to know a little bit about him.

DUNCAN
Seek children of William and Charles DUNCAN born ca. 1770’s in Fauquier Co. These are the two eldest sons of John L. DUNCAN and Elizabeth HOLTZCLAW. William and Charles settled in what is now Giles and Craig Counties. Is the William DUNCAN (b. ca. 1802) listed in Giles County 1850 census and 1860/1870 Craig County census and John L. DUNCAN (b. ca. 1790) the son of this elder William or Charles? Do any wills or probate records exist for either?
