James was the son of James ROBERTSON b. 1821 place unknown parents unknown. He died 1890. He married Sarah Ann SADLER b. 1821 place and parents also unknown. She died in 1872.

I am searching for any information on the FOWLER family of Giles County. I have been searching for some time, with no results, for my grandfather, Banner Haven KELLEY b. 7 November 1879 in Giles Co. I was just told he was born a FOWLER, not a Kelley. He was “taken in” by a family named Kelley and changed his name to theirs. Do not know if there were any other siblings. Two Thomas KIRKs are found on Buckeye Mountain in the 1790’s. Believe the elder was brother of John Kirk (1754-1850) of Green Valley and that the younger was son of the elder Thomas. The younger was known as Rev. Thomas Kirk, a Methodist minister. Who were his children? I believer possibilities are Hiram, Andrew and Araminta Kirk.

I am looking for the death date of my Uncle’s wife, Nell French STRINGER. The Nell French Stringer I am seeking married Richard Baldwin Stringer in 1937. They lived in Giles Co., Va. Richard died in October of 1964 and is buried in the Fairview Cemetery in Giles County. I was trying to find the death date of his wife. I do not know her full name or her parents. They did not have any children.

Does anyone have any information about Dr. Francis Greene ANDERSON? He was a Country Doctor in Giles county in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. He was also the man who built and installed the first telephone system in Giles County.
He was born 15 April 1868, in Giles County. He married Minnie HUGHES on 24 July 1889, at Wabash, Va., (ceremony performed by Reverend E. F. Glenn), and he departed this life on 12 September 1954, as a result of an automobile accident in Montgomery Co. Minnie Hughes Anderson departed this life on 7 June 1961.
My wife is his Grandaughter.
We have quite a lot of information about his descendents, but know nothing about his parents, or the antecedents of his wife Minnie Hughes. Any information about the parents or other ancestors of Dr. Anderson would be much appreciated.
