I am searching for information about my gr-grandfather Charley W. TAYLOR b. May 1858, in Giles Co., Va. I am especially interested in his mother. I think her name was Mary HARLESS. I can’t seem to get back any further than Charley and I think other members of his family married into his wife’s family. Charley’s father had an unusual name, perhaps Raeburn Taylor. I am not sure. DUNCAN/KIRK
Researching Landon DUNCAN and Sarah KIRK, their daughter Harriet married Harrison ROBINSON 16 March 1834 in Giles Co., Va. The ROBINSONS and DUNCANS were preachers in Giles and Mercer Counties. Has anybody ever seen an article on Landon Duncan in reference to the White Religion. He was supposed to have joined this group and walked around in a white robe, with no shoes on. I think the article might have appeared in the Virginia Historical Society Newsletter, but I haven’t been able to find it yet.
