Minerals in Giles County

Pearisburg, Va., Sept. 7. – (Special.)-

J. S. Baxter, of the Pulaski Iron Company, of Pulaski City, has been in this city several days prospecting for ores. He has succeeded in finding many valuable minerals, such as zinc, lead, silver, and iron. Mr. Baxter has leased a number of farms at prices ranging from $7,ooo to $25,000. It is expected that Northern capitalists will arrive here in a few weeks and open up business.
