The Pearisburg (Giles county) Virginia, of the 21st instant, contains a full account of the murder of Ed. Wall, at Hunter’s distillery, of which mention was made in the Times of yesterday. A man named C. P. Criner has been arrested on the charge of committing the murder, and Sarah Vaught, a woman of doubtful character, is charged with being his accomplice. It is alleged that both men had been drinking and quarreled, when Criner drew a knife and cut Wall several times. The dead body was then taken inside the still house, where it was found. The prisoner was given a long preliminary examination and was sent on to await the action of the grand jury.
