PEARISBURG, Va., Sept. 27.— Emory Richardson, 42, of Wolf Creek, will spend 12 months in prison because he fired a shotgun into a tent church meeting.
Three persons were slightly injured when Richardson let go with five buckshot blasts into the tent September 1.
A Giles County jury yesterday found him guilty of felonious wounding and wilful shooting. He was sentenced by Circuit Judge V. L. Sexton, jr.
Richardson, said he fired into the revival tent because the noise of the meeting was “so loud I couldn’t get any rest.”
