William Jinkins Will
I William Jinkins of Charles County being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory doth make this my last Will and Testament in the name of God Amen.
I give and bequeath my dwellings and land unto my five daughters namely Henrietta Jinkins & Ann Jinkins & Susannah Jinkins & Dorothy Jinkins & Mary Jinkins NB that is shall possess it while single.
I give and bequeath unto Henrietta Jinkins a Negro wench named Treacy and her child Minty and their increase to her and her heirs forever.
I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Ann Jinkins a Negro wench called Rachel and her son George and their increase to her and her heirs forever.
I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Susanah Jinkins a young Negro wench named Jean she and her increase forever.
I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Dorothy Jinkins a Negro girl named Mary her and her increase to her and her heirs forever.
I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Jinkins a Negro girl named Sarah her and her increase forever.
I give and bequeath unto my five Daughters aforesd. mentioned each of them a creditable horse bridle and saddle to them and their heirs forever to be paid by Executor hereafter mentioned.
I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Jinkins a Negro boy named Edward to him and his heirs forever and no more of my personable Estate.
I give and bequeath unto my son John Jinkins a valuable horse bridle and saddler and Housing to him and his heirs forever. And for the remainder of my Estate after my debts is paid it’s my desire that it shall be equally divided between my two sons Namely George Jinkins & John Jinkins and my five Daughters aforesd. mentioned to them and their heirs forever.
I appoint my son Thomas Jinkins my Executor of this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto fixed my hand and seal this thirteenth day of April One Thousand seven hundred and Eighty two.
