CHAP. CXC. – An Act to revive and extend the term of certain pensions which have expired by limitation.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, That the pensions heretofore granted, and paid out of the privateer pension fund, to the widows and orphans of such officers, seamen, and marines, as were slain, or died in consequence of wounds, or casualties, received, while in the line of their duty, on board the private armed ships of the United States, and the terms for the payment of which had expired by limitation, before the ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four, be, and the same are hereby, revived, and extended to such widows and orphans, with all the advantages, and in the same manner, as if their respective terms had not expired; subject to the provisions, restrictions, and limitations, of an act, passed the ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty-four, entitled “An act extending the term of pensions granted to persons disabled, and to the widows and orphans of those who have been slain, or who have died in consequence of wounds, or casualties, received while in the line of their duty, on board the private armed ships of the United Sates, during the late war.”
