1853 Yellow Fever Deaths in Thibodaux, Louisiana

In the late summer of 1853, Thibodaux, Louisiana experienced an epidemic of yellow fever that killed about 15% of their population. At the time this list was made the death rate had fallen and so had the number of new cases, but the newspaper warned this seemed to be more on account of the cooler weather and advised that people should steer clear of the town for at least two more weeks.

All persons are from Louisiana unless noted.
