I’m looking (obsessively, maybe) for more information about my ggg-grandfather, John Hudson WOODS, and his wife, Sarah “Sally” JORDAN. They lived in both Giles Co. and Mercer Co. They married 13 Jan 1844 in Giles Co.
Their children included Lucretia J. WOODS, Jordan WOODS, James William WOODS, Susan “Sue WOODS, and Hugh G. WOODS.
Other surnames are CHAPMAN and MULLINS.

John Brackett KELLEY b. 6 June 1880, Pearisburg, Giles Co., Va. d. 23 December 1961, Roanoke, Va. He was the son of James and Mary A. Kelley (b. 10 June 1855, d. 13 January 1936, Roanoke, Va.) From the 1880 Census the other children of James and Mary Kelley were Annie E., G.W. Peter, and Estie K. Kelley.
If you have any additional information on James Kelley/Kelly I would be most appreciative.
I am wanting to confirm the above and also find James’ father, etc.

CLARK/SCUTT
Request any information or advice regarding the death or burial of Jemima CLARK, nee SCUTT. She and her husband Lt. Thomas CLARK lived in that part of Montgomery Co., which later became Giles Co. They lived on Stoney Creek, near Pearisburg. They were married on 10 October 1787 in Westmoreland Co., Va. (he was stationed in Pennsylvania at the time). She had her last child, Isaac CLARK 10 April 1806.
Family records do not record her removing to Gallia Co., Ohio in 1808 with her husband and family. She is not listed as being buried in the family plot on the farm of her husband.
Will exchange any information regarding Thomas Clark’s family.

Looking for information on my ggggrandfather. Plez BLANCET (also spelled Blancett) married Sarah TUGGLE. They had eight children, viz. William, Plez, John Henry (my gg-grandfather b. 4 May 1853 in Giles Co., Va.), Joseph, Sallie, Eliza, Susan and Fannie.
John Henry Blancet was bound out as a boy and lived on a farm owned by Archie PACKET in Virginia until he was 21

He was later adopted by his aunt & uncle, Lorenzo D. & Nancy Morgan KELLEY. Louise & Nancy MORGAN were sisters, both dau. of John & Adline MORGAN. William N. FOWLER was son of Reason & Ann FOWLER.     Heatheringtons-William Henderson m. 1805- Eliszabeth Hearington of Dungannon, Northern Ireland. She came to America on the Mohawk from the port of Londerry, Ireland. William came here in 1804. Purchased land from Joseph Cloyd of Cloyd’s Mountain Giles Co, Va. They had 11 children. Hope this helps.
