In our issue last week we published that Col. James Milton French had died a few days before at his home in Pearisburg, Va. The report on which we published the statement was incorrect. It was Col. Napoleon B. French, who had died at Princeton, W. Va. Col. French was ninety-one years old at the time of his death, was a native of Giles county, Va., and prior to the Civil War was a prominent man in politics in his section.
