US Army and Navy Dead and Liberated Prisoners of War, 8 October 1945

Washington, D. C., Oct. 8 — The war department today made public new lists of army casualties and of personnel liberated from prison camps under Japanese control. The lists include a number of men from Chicago and vicinity. The next of kin have been kept informed of any changes in the status of casualties since this report was compiled, the war department said.

Listed here are the soldiers and sailors from Illinois and Indiana.
