James D. Snidow Death

Mr. James D. [sic] Snidow, father of Mrs. C. T. St. Clair of this place, died very suddenly on last Monday afternoon at his home in Pearisburg, Va. Mr. Snidow had not been in the best health for several months, but his death was entirely unexpected and came as a great shock to his many firends. He belonged to one of the oldest families of Giles county and of Southwest Virginia, the Snidows having been among the first settlers in the Southwest. He was a gallant soldier in the war between the States, and lost a limb in the battle at Gettysburg.

Tazewell Republican, Tazewell, Va., 18 November 1909.
